Get Green, Save Money
With the price of gas slowing rising this summer, along with global sea levels, it’s time to think green when it comes to transport. Obvious options for reducing your carbon footprint include using public transport, walking or biking. However, these alternatives aren’t always an option for a number of common reasons, such as a busy schedule involving long or multiple trips.
One simple tip to help reduce CO2 emissions is by combining trips. For example, if you need to go grocery shopping, get your hair cut, and take the kids to soccer practice, why not do them all on the same day? Or at least start shopping closer to where you spend time doing other things.
Another way to reduce emissions, and gas usage, is by regularly scheduling your car for maintenance. The most significant difference with regular maintain is tire pressure, since keeping it at the correct level can save up to 4% on gas.

If you are considering buying a new vehicle, contemplate the many options now available in an increasingly environmentally-aware world. It may be that now the kids are driving, you don’t need that 7-seater SUV. Hyrid cars, clean diesel cars, and even Smart cars are another option.
